Current
and historical aerial photography can be obtained by Aero-Data
through both our in-house film library and outside vendors. With
numerous business contacts and years of professional experience,
Aero-Data has the ability to use a nationwide network of aerial
photography providers to find the coverage you need. For historical
studies, please keep in mind that Aero-Data's photo laboratory
can produce uniformly cropped and scaled prints for a site with
multiple dates of coverage. This is helpful to our clients because
it presents the same coverage area for each date of photography
at a uniform scale. Our in-house photo lab services also ensure
our clients' confidentiality.

In-House
Coverage
In
the course of its many contract photomissions, and through acquisition
of governmental coverage, Aero-Data has amassed an extensive film
library of both historical and current aerial photography of sites
throughout the United States. Our Louisiana aerial coverage, for
example, encompasses many parishes and significant portions of
the Mississippi River Industrial corridor over time. Our database
system allows us to quickly locate film in our library and determine
if further research is required. Requests for in-house film coverage
can be cropped, scaled to meet the client's specific needs, printed,
and shipped out rapidly.

Outside
Vendors
If
outside research is necessary, our staff will contact various
aerial photography vendors to acquire a range of current or historical
aerial photographs and maps. Our research staff maintains a database
of over 1,000 private and governmental aerial providers who can
be contacted for photography. Aero-Data has also acquired microfiche
indexes of the USGS film collection. This resource reduces research
time and increases the accuracy of frame selection. Aero-Data
generally uses governmental providers such as U.S Geologic Survery,
American Soil and Conservation Services, National Archives, and
Corps of Engineers.
