The
following excerpt was taken from the June 1999 issue of "The
Business Report". It featured Aero-Data as the cover story
for that month.
"Aero-Data,
Inc. today announced the availability of high resolution 1999 aerial
photographic coverage of East Baton Rouge Parish on CD's. Ten years
of historical Parish coverage will be made available soon.
Wayne
Grip, Aero-Data President, said, 'These digitized images are a permanent
visual record of ground features and improvements. When read into
geographic information system (GIS) software, they will be used
by businesses and government agencies to manage land and natural
resources, to plan and provide essential services, to facilitate
marketing studies, and for many other purposes. Each image is orthorectified,
meaning it is free of distortion, and registered precisely to surveyed
ground control points. This permits true distance measurement between
all ground features at a resolution of one foot.'
Aero-Data
also makes these images available in stereo pairs for 3-D viewing
and has a fully-equipped photo laboratory which produces prints
and cropped and scaled enlargements in standard and custom sizes,
including large photo mosaics.
The
company is currently updating its aerial photography coverage of
Orleans and Lake Charles Parishes."
